Wolfgang is 14 years old and a rebellious boy - a character trait that unfortunately only complicates his life. Thus, his stepfather sends him (against the will of the mother) to a welfare home, so he becomes a "decent" boy. In the home, however, he has to endure inhumane working conditions and perfidious education methods, arranged by the head of the asylum and others. Things do not improve despite an educator trying to be lenient with the boys.
