A noncompetitive festival organised annually by the Ministry of Culture of the Arab Republic of Egypt, CIFCET launched its operations in November 2014, as a revised version of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre (1988-2010). As such, CIFCET exists to broaden the space for mutual understanding among diverse populations and communities via the exemplary means of theatre and performance.
