Brazzaville and Kinshasa are the capital cities of the two Congos, separated by a river. A bilateral agreement allows handicapped businesspeople to move between the two cities without having to pay customs duties or taxes. A gaggle of ebullient personalities, they manage their businesses to the best of their abilities, buying on one side of the river and selling at a profit on the other. In their wheelchairs, they disembark from overcrowded boat to multicolored market in a frenetic whirlwind.
The director concentrates on following their daily rounds and manages to convey their fantastic energy. A wonderful lesson on life that winds up to the sound of Benda Bilili's music!
