Gods do not easily survive traffic jams or television. But it's the opposite with Ogun, the most intriguing divinity if the Yoruba pantheon (Nigeria), who is quite simply the creator of the modern world. Inventor of iron and of the road - which stands as a symbol of the reunion of goods and mortals, who lived separated until then - Ogun is the patron-god of those who handle a wheel or a tool : taxi drivers, hunters, mechanics, astronauts - but also writers, since representation, literature and theatre came from the poetry of the blacksmith, who made metal sing.
