After long years spent in France, far away from her country, Nadia comes back to Morocco.
Her father is dying. Her brother and sister want to sell the family house. For Nadia the world seems to be falling apart. The day of the funeral she meets Kirana, a very religious woman who initiates her to the sacred chants.
Nadia seems to see a way out of her misery, reinforced by her discovery of corresponded love.

Moroccan society is torn between two cultures. The Muslim culture, deeply rooted in the daily life, but misunderstood by the new generation and another one, gained through the country's close bond with the West. Authenticity or openness? To the director, the key to this issue is in Islam, an tolerant one, based on love and benefaction.
