WE THE SMALL PLANET PEOPLE

Small Planet is one of the most active documentary production companies in Greece. Over the past 7 years it has created sixty documentaries all over the world which were shown on Greek television as well as on international television networks worldwide.

Small Planet produces documentaries of social, anthropological and political interest. In other words, stories that concern all thinking citizens of our contemporary world.

Our work under the general title Exandas Documentary Series has gained international recognition.

Exandas (the Greek word for sextant), created by Yorgos Avgeropoulos on 2000. Since then, he and his team are criss-crossing the planet producing documentaries in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe, North and Latin America.

Exandas has been awarded 6 times nationally (with the prize for Best Documentary Series in Greek TV) and four times internationally for the documentary, "Delta, Oil's Dirty Business". (GRAND AWARD for the BEST FILM - EcoVision Festival 2007, Palermo / FIPA D' ARGENT (Silver FIPA) - Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels, Biarritz, France, January 2007 / JUNIOR JURY AWARD - 5th International Film Festival and Forum Rights (FIFDH), Geneva, Switzerland, March 2007 / SPECIAL MENTION - 10th Environmental Film Festival Cinemabiente, Torino Italy, October 2007).

The International Thessaloniki Documentary Festival 2006 held a special tribute to Exandas Documentary Series screening ten of the series' episodes.

Exandas Documentary Series is currently broadcasted on Greek public television (ERT).

Feel free to browse our documentary catalogue. You will find images of an unjust world, dark, tortured, and most times dangerous, through real human stories.
