Claude MCKAY (birth name: Festus Claudis MCKAY) was born in Jamaica in 1889 and passed away in 1948 in USA.
He wrote four novels: Home to Harlem (1928), Banjo (1929), Banana Bottom (1933), Gingertown (1932).
He is one of the proeminent figures of the artistic movement "Harlem Renaissance".
