I am a documentary photographer interested in the human condition, his understanding of life and his relationship with the environment. I have mainly photographed in Africa, Latin America and Europe since 2001, when I started my photographic career.
I am graduated in Economics and I have an MBA by Esade (Barcelona). After finishing my studies, I worked in marketing in a Japanese multinational for three years and in an architects' studio as project manager of a sustainable district in the Barcelona area, which unfortunately was never built.
My passion for travelling and knowing other cultures naturally led me to photography. When I began, I thought I was interested in denouncing injustices but now, more experienced, I realize I am principally focused in understanding the human condition. Why we do what we do, why we believe in what we believe.
I have published my pictures in international publications such as Colors, Geo, New York Times, Time, Business Week, XXI, Photo, Esquire, L'Internazionale, Io Donna, Alternatives Internationales, L'Espresso, Courier International, Le Figaro, La Vanguardia, Fraction magazine and many others.
My work has been recognized in competitions like The Hansel Mieth Prize 2010 (Honourable Mention), Center Project Competition 2010 (Juror's prize), Picture of the Year 2007 (Magazine portrait, 3rd prize), Fotopres 05 grant from La Caixa and Photo España New Talents 05 (finalist).
My pictures are often exhibited internationally both in solo and collectives exhibitions.
Since 2003 I am a member of the Cooperative Agency Picture Tank, which distributes my editorial work internationally.
In 2007 I founded with some other independent documentary photographers the Spanish collective Pandora.
