Determination, Dexterity, Articulate, Engage problems innovatively, Bold, Intelligent, Good sense of humour are few but words that can
best describe the new host of SMS on Joy 99.7fm. Kojo Yankson unveils  and reveals it all on Nana Ansah Kwao IV's personality profile show
over the weekend.

Kojo disclosed that he was minding his own business somewhere in Cape Coast on Atl fm when one blessed Saturday the CEO of Multimedia
Limited, Mr. Kwesi Twum and Kofi Ansah, Programmes Manager at Joy fm drove all the way to Cape Coast in a white 4×4 to convince him to take up the role and finalise talks with him . This is how it all started, "One day in March this year, I came to Joy FM with a colleague for an
affiliate meeting. Kofi Ansah (Programmes Director, Joy FM) was in the meeting, and I must have spoken for about 20 seconds, in response to a question. Suddenly, Kofi got up and left the room. He returned with Elvis Kwashie (Managing Editor, Joy FM), and
introduced my colleague to him. When he got to me, he said, "…and this is Kojo Yankson, the new host of the Super Morning Show."

Growing up, Kojo nurtured the dream to be on radio but his father wanted him to become a doctor. His story relates to that of the late
Komla Dumor if you know the background of Komla. When he was asked by Nana Ansah Kwao IV about the fears he had when
the deal was officially sealed, he disclosed, "I had fears before the job but I supposed it's normal but there was also some sort of
excitement that filled me up since i always wanted to do radio."
Kojo is the 2nd of three children; he is the only son and has two sisters. His father is a professor at UCC and mum, a counsellor. He
had his basic school education at University Practice Junior High School, then to St. Augustines College, Cape coast where he offered
General Science and then proceeded to University of Cape Coast. At UCC, Kojo was a student broadcaster with campus based, Valco fm. Kojo
was very popular back then at secondary school because he was a heck of a dancer; a brake-dancer and will be seen on every entertainment
show doing his brake dancing stuffs  with his collegues.

Kojo had left for UK for the past 12 years and just return to Ghana in January this year to do some project at UCC and thought about just
doing some radio work in addition to his project. Just five months into hosting the SMS on Joy fm, Kojo has filled seamlessly into the voice that wakes up Ghana and has established himself so well that he is now a force to reckon with when it comes to hosting morning shows in Ghana.

The Bible made us to understand in the book of Proverbs that 'He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour from the  Lord'.
Kojo is married to Pamela with whom he has a son, Fiifi with. When asked by the host his burdens, he disclosed, "the burdens result
anytime i sit down to host a show, my listeners have given me their overwhelming support and with that  i always want to go the extra mile
to provide them with what they yearn for".

He revealed that the new direction for the show is to provide results and not that he will just leave any matter to rest, he will follow the
matter keenly and have a desired result. He ended the interview by thanking his entire team with whom he is working with.
