Leah Shore developed a passion for fine art, music and connecting with others at a young age. Her ability to use a wide range of media, incorporate style-focused content, and bring human stories to life in a cinematic setting, while remaining accessible to a diverse audience, has made her a director to watch. Iel directed a documentary series for Billboard magazine, interviewing Top 100 artists, producing over 50 episodes. His recent animated music videos for Peaches ("Pussy Mask") and Lyn Lapid ("Producer Man") went viral this year with over 7 million views. His award-winning live action shorts Puss, Hallway, Funeral and his animated shorts Old Man, Meatwaffle, Boobatary and Cookies have been featured in film festivals, museums and galleries worldwide (from Sundance, SXSW and Tribeca, to Criterion, Vimeo, Vice, The Atlantic and Nowness). In 2013, Iel was one of 25 new faces named by Filmmaker Magazine, along with Eliza Hittman and Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair. He is currently directing a pilot for FX. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his cat, Boy George, cooking elaborate meals, making ice cream and trying to play the theremin (as best he can).
