Llane Munau is a director of the Bougainville film in the Pawa Meri Series.

Llane is from Arawa in Bougainville Province. She currently lives in Goroka and works with the National Film Institute as the Director of Photography. Llane graduated with a Bachelor in Journalism from Divine Word University in Madang, her final year dissertation on the rise and decline of cinematography in PNG. She is passionate about the history of films in PNG and the role that early films played in uniting a country of over 800 cultures and languages. Llane is a self-taught filmmaker and is used to filling all the production roles herself. This is the first directing role were she will be working work with a crew. Llane is looking forward to learning from and collaborating with the production team. She has been passionate about film and television from an early age and feels being part of a group of Papua New Guinea women filmmakers in this project is very encouraging.
