Sally El Hosaini is a Welsh Egyptian screenwriter and director. Her debut feature, MY BROTHER THE DEVIL [2012], was developed through Sundance Institute's Directors and Screenwriters Labs. The Fifth Bowl, a short film, won a BAFTA for best regional film in 2008. El Hosaini was named a Screen International "UK Star of Tomorrow" in 2009, and her film Henna Night (2009) was selected for the BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival and competed at the Rotterdam and Raindance film festivals.
