Unwana UDOBANG is a Nigerian multimedia journalist, writer, poet, actress and filmmaker based in Lagos.

Her work covers women's rights, human interest stories, art and culture. She has worked as a freelance features producer and presenter for the BBC Radio4, BBC World Service and Resonance FM. She has been a freelance writer and contributor for Al Jazeera, The Guardian (UK), Bella Naija and the Huffington Post. In 2016, she was longlisted for the One World Media award in the "Women's Rights in Africa" award category, for her story on the Mirabel rape crisis centre for Al Jazeera. She worked as a radio presenter and producer at 92.3 Inspiration FM in Lagos for more than six years and hosts the television show Airtel Touching Lives. She is the producer of the documentary "Sensitive Skin," a documentary film about the skin condition psoriasis, the poetry series "Words and Inspirations" and the interview series "Culture Diaries." She is a graduate of the University for the Creative Arts with a first class degree in journalism.
She is a recipient of the International Reporting Project (IRP) Fellowship, the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Fellowship in Cultural Journalism and the Religion News Foundation grant.

Her work as a poet has been featured at the British Library's Word, Symbol and Song exhibition. She has two poetry albums. The first titled Dirty Laundry and her current sophomore album In memory of forgetting that explores brokenness and self-renewal.

Her documentary works include; Sensitive Skin a documentary film on Psoriasis, Nylon a short documentary on grief and the docu-series Warriors exploring the lives of people with sickle cell disease. She is creator of the interview series Culture Diaries. She is creative director of WanaWana productions and hosts the television program Airtel Touching Lives.

Unwana UDOBANG is an international actress; she stars as Micha in Frontières directed by Apolline Traoré (Burkina Faso | 2017), along with Naky Sy Savané, Amélie Mbaye and Adizétou Sidi.
She loves food, travel, dancing and people.
