Zipporah (Zippy) Nyaruri is a filmmaker and producer recognized for her project "Truck Mama" (2011-2025), which has received awards from International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), AfriDocs and the European Work-in-Progress Cologne. Her works include "Mama Emerre" and "Zebu And The Photo Fish", both of which have been screened at international film festivals such as Durban, Aspen, FESPACO and Toronto. Holding a master's degree in film and photography studies, Nyaruri has also participated in Maisha Film Lab, IDFAcademy, EsoDoc, Circle Women Doc Accelerator and Berlinale Talent Campus.
