The film, a documentary portrayal of the events of 1966-67 based on Che Guvara's Bolivian diary, follows Che's tracks from the first moment of his arrival in La Paz right though to the jungle of the Nacahuazu river.

In October of 1967, news from Bolivia quickly spread around the world: the legendary guerilla leader Ernesto Che Guevara was dead. The film follows the footsteps of Ernesto Che Guevara from his mysterious departure from Cuba to his arrival in La Paz, from his first tense battle with the army to his final days. The Bolivian leader comes back to life through his diary.
