The Pygmies are tending to become sedentary and their geographical location plays a part in the evolution of their way of life. The greater or lesser proximity of other tribes here contribute to changing the thinking of the Pygmy tribes, placing them halfway between living on the fringes of society and semi-integration. It is interesting to observe the exchanges that take place with outside societies, to analyse the nature of what elements are borrowed and those where the original culture is retained.
