The Sound of Tomorrow-Project is a EU funded project which is geared towards local youth and provides support for 60 local talents with 2-year training program in music. The recipients of the scholarship are chosen in public music competitions. The project aims to promote and strengthen the Creative Industries in Tanzania by fostering capacity development in music performance, technology and music management skills.
The project partners with the Goethe Institut, MuDa Africa and other stakeholders in the field of culture to provide a long-term training center in music and dance.
The music training center is based in Mikocheni, off Old Bagamoyo Road. Music lessons will provided to the public starting in 2014.
