The Grand Gallery was opened on November 9th, 2011. This is another bold initiative by the Grand Lucayan that is part of a series of cultural events. The types of artwork on display vary including: mixed media, water color, oil on canvas, acrylic paintings, oil paintings, wood carvings, acrylic on plywood, acrylic on paper, and clay pottery.

The Grand Gallery offers a variety of new and exciting events and exhibitions:

Art Exhibitions
~The artworks on display in the Gallery come with a wide range of prices. The space caters to the tourist in search of souvenirs; the Bahamian who desires decoration or the collector in search of a unique item.

Scribes Corner (Student)
~This event will consist of literary readings of original pieces by students from various high schools and established writers. Student meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month.

Scribes Corner (Adult version)
~This event will host events like poetry readings, book readings, and book launchings. this event will be held the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 7:00pm-8:30pm and an "after dark" show at 9:00pm.

Live Bahamian Music and Dance
~This exciting event will consist of varying artists showcasing Bahamian music, dance and other cultural expression and this will occur every Saturday at 7:00pm.

Speakers Corner
~This provides an opportunity for persons to speak on a wide range of topical issues and engage in a high level of debate on the subjects.

Film Night
~This event will showcase Bahamian and international films. This event will be held the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Theatre and Comedy Night
~This event will consist of an evening of comedy acts and short one act plays by various artists. This will occur on the 2nd Thursday of every month.

Tours
The Grand Gallery is available for tours at your convenience. Tours are ideal for schools, churches, art lovers, and other organizations. To schedule a tour, contact The Grand Gallery via phone or email.
