April
Genre : Festival
Principal country concerned : Column : Fine arts, Photo

Goals

1) We promote contemporary art in Cameroon and Africa in symbiosis with emerging artists and their work.

To promote contemporary art in Africa, we have chosen to work with artists who have an innovative artistic approach and therefore the course is remarkable in the field of contemporary art.
Our mission is to promote painters, sculptors, photographers, video artists, installers and performers.
We are particularly interested by artists currently active, artists who have an innovative art statement, artists who have an original artistic style and themes that develop themes and languages of our today society.

2) We also aim to bring artists from North and South in network for a wider artistic collaboration and cultural exchanges.

The concept of networking is an important factor in the development of our cultural industry; we multiplied exchanges with festivals and arts centers throughout the world for joint exchanges.

3) We also work for the popularization of contemporary art in the public Yaoundé, bringing art to meet the public.
Our festival also allows the Yaoundé public to be in touch with new discourses on contemporary society, be in touch with socio politic themes, often subtle or poetic. Artists use new languages to power the dreams and hopes of people.
