The photographer Adama Sylla, born in 1934 who was also a curator at the Museum of L'Ifan, in Saint-Louis, Senegal, took thousands of pitures between the years 1960-1990. Made outdoors of in his studio in the fishermen's district of Guet N'Dar, they remain today rare and joyful testimonies of the inhabitants of his city. Color images of the young Franco Senegalese photographer Eva Diallo slip into the middle of this portrait gallery. Fragments of the urban space and visions of the rivers, like discreet echoes, revive the spirit of the places in the magical city of Saint-Louis in Senegal. regard.sud@orange.fr
