Due to the intrusion of the colonial world, words are not enough to accurately count our worlds because we are speaking to ourselves in another language, can cinema be that means through which we can produce that language that can help us say the unknown, the unexpected, that which allows us to find the new and the familiar? This festival is a search for meaning through the taste of the exploration of an unknown land that becomes a place of recognition.

To foster in the filmmakers the question of the recognition of others and of others and of mutual recognition.

With the QAFF we pretend to take the filmmakers to ask their audience "will you understand me?", Asking them to follow the meaning they have built away from seduction and predictability.

We want to make this festival a human adventure far from what was expected.

Because we need a narrative of our own, a new narrative of who we are and what we are because we are narrative beings. Our past, present and future lives are narratives. In the same way that we are oppressed by the narrations, in the same way, we are liberated by the narrations.

This festival is the moment for the community to turn their daily life into a narrative. Almost like making an African cinema really; An African "art of living": the art of living.

A moment that will eliminate the limits between reality and imagination, a moment where reality meets fiction. The festival community will live in that place where we can recreate our great invented history. And like all great art, it will invite us all to rethink our reality.
