Throughout his life, Alexandre Roubtzoff (1884-1949) drew a fascinating portrait of his adopted country: Tunisia. Finally recognized in France as one of the major artists who worked in North Africa, he left a considerable figurative work, today distributed among many collectors and watched over by Paul Boglio, president of the association that bears his name. The film revisits the universe of this discreet and modest man, reluctant even to sell his paintings, and the places that inspired him.
