Garth Jobson, Karell Wisdom and Kevin Tapper have been birthed from a long rich heritage of musicology and soulful gospel singing. Finding a chemistry, the three blended in late 2012 to form what is now called 3rd N West.
This amazing contrast created from the obvious individuality of each member makes the unified blend even more unique, giving rise to a sound the public has been hungry for and some would say to be fresh. "We're not trying to re-invent the wheel! Just continuing the rich Jamaican Heritage, we are so proud of." Karell would say, or "I want the people to feel me when I deliver the thing to them, you know!" Garth 'Jaboh' Jobson would say, or "is a good look! Aspermocious!" which of course is Kevins professional response to just about everything. We enjoy the creative process together as the result is usualy exciting and a bit unusual.
Our method has brought us to this street called 3rdNWest. Our name is a tribute to the creative place we live in as musicians, from this address we come to the world with our sound, our style, our vibe.
