Jacaranda is a beautiful old colonial house, which sits on 1.5 acres of land in the center of downtown Nassau, just above Rawson Square. It is an oasis of calm and tranquility in the middle of a bustling city. The gardens have a timeless quality and the house is enhanced by the beauty of the classical architecture of its time. For many years the property has belonged to the Oakes Family.

The plan is to create a first class restaurant, boutique bar and exclusive members club offering amenities to the local professional community and visitors. Some facilities will be open to the public and others for members only. It would carry the name 'The Jacaranda House', symbolizing a unique social resource in downtown Nassau, which is an international financial centre, attracting business travelers from around the world.

There are many law firms, banks and other businesses with offices within walking distance. With the encouragement and enthusiasm shown by the present Government for the redevelopment of downtown Nassau, this project comes at an appropriate moment. A fine establishment with this location is huge sort after in Nassau and would be very popular with the business community.

Until then Jacanda House will be holding a number of public and private cultural events.
