Tendai "Sasamania" Chidarikire is ready to return to active showbiz after 10 years and will release his new album soon. The musician, also known as MuZezuru, says he took his time to "establish a relationship with the Lord" before beginning to work on new stuff.

He said it had taken him more than a year to put the new album in place and he believes its release will announce his return in a big way.

The release of the new album, titled "HONA MaUSA" will coincide with the unveiling of new choreography from the musician who is known for unique dance styles. He said he would be introducing a new bull dance that involves energetic moves.

"I have not been really active in production for 10 years because I needed to establish my relationship with the Lord and to achieve that a number of people such as Pastor Kumbukani Phiri of Faith Ministries and Reverend Dambaza of Upper Room Ministries among others have helped me become the person I am today," he said.

"I believe the work I am doing on this album is perfect and can go places.

"I have also taken my dance moves (bull) to a higher platform and my dances are original." The eight-track album incorporates genres like kanindo, accapella, soul and house. Tracks on the album are "HONA maUSA", "Zezuru House (reloaded)", "Mwari Seiko Mwari", "Mastaira", "Ikoko", "Tete", "HONA maUSA (house mix)" and "Zezuru (instrumental)".

Commenting on the tracks Chidarikire said: "The number eight biblically signifies new beginnings and I am back in to promote my art in the music industry.

"Since the introduction of the multi-currency system people have changed characters believing in the United States dollar and becoming corrupt or greedy. There are two sides on a coin so the same with the US dollar, it has also brought about stability in society". The multi-talented artists also spoke about the song "Mwari Seiko" in which he pays tribute to his late mother. "I really want this song to capture the hearts of all and encourage them to cherish their mothers". He equates "Mwari Seiko" to Oliver Mutukudzi's Neria while most of the songs on the album deal with social matters for all age groups. Chidarikire said he is training hard to ensure he is up to the task of energetic performances. "To keep in shape and maintain the dances I am undergoing training by Zimbabwe's number one trainer Innocent Choga for the time to perform has come and the time is now." Choga confirmed that Chidarikire was undergoing training as he believes this would enhance stage performance. The multi-talented artist has not limited himself during the break but ventured into acting and almost tried his luck in South Africa. He showcased his acting talent when he featured in Studio 263 locally.

His artistic expertise dates back to 1996 when he was crowned Best Performance Actor by Reps Theatre.
