Madaraka Nyerere, son of the legendary Julius Nyerere, and revolutionary musician Vitali Maembe will on 7 September start a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Culture and Development East Africa.

CDEA's Arts Space in Mikocheni B, Dar e s salaam, is one where young people can meet, imagine and co-create, one where science meets art, and art meets other disciplines, one that can figure and innovate "out-of-the-box" solutions for this and the coming generation. The arts space will also connect youth with opportunities, coach talent, guide start up ideas to completion, broker partnerships with like-minded spaces such as The NEST, PAWA254, and the Creatives Garage in Kenya and Afrika Arts Kollective in Uganda.
CDEA will conduct a one-year fundraising campaign named "FUN FOR FUNDS" which will be kicked-off with Madaraka Nyerere, Chair of CDEA's Board, and Vitali Maembe, a patriotic musician, climbing Mt.Kilimanjaro on 7th to 13th September 2014. The two faces of the Campaign will be raising funds for CDEA to:
