Ndebele launches seventh album

Popular songbird and dancer Sandra Ndebele launched her seventh album titled Izenzo during a well-attended and colourful ceremony at the Large City Hall on Thursday.

The 10-track album features Jah Prayzah on the song Love yemShona leNdebele. Jah Prayzah attended the album launch.

The other guest artistes on the album are urban groover Nash on Uchaparadza musha, South Africa-based Teddy Bears on Mayikhale and Jeys Marabini on the title track Izenzo.

One of the highlights of the launch night was when Ndebele shared the stage with Jah Prayzah, the Teddy Bears and Marabini during the unveiling of the new product.

Potential hits on the album are Love yemShona leNdebele and Garie Mukaranga.

In keeping with her status as road traffic safety and Mpilo hospital ambassador Ndebele included the track Incwadi yabatshayeli which advises road users to be cautious on the road.

Ndebele got yet another ambassadorial role on the night when she made Suzuki brand ambassador. As a result, she was given a Suzuki Swift car.

The event, which attracted the who is who in Bulawayo, was graced by Small to Medium Enterprises minister Sithembiso Nyoni, who was the guest of honour.

Speaking during the event, Nyoni described Ndebele as trendsetter for the girl child in the local community.

"I want to say congratulations to you (Sandra). We are very proud of you because there are very few girls from this city who have the courage, the soul and the stamina like yours Sandra," Nyoni said.

The minister further described Ndebele as a courageous go-getter who stops at nothing once she sets targets.
