Local urban artist Piksy drops his second solo album Mthunzi this month.
The album has been recorded by different producers to bring a variety in terms of touch.
"I will be launching the album in Blantyre on July 4 at Robin's Park and I will be in Lilongwe the following day at Alexanderz Pub. The album, which has 16 tracks, is unique in a way that it represents diversity as several producers, including DJ Sley, Yuzy Uganda, Twin Beatz, Dare Devils, Wanna Beatz, Janta and features a couple of artists," said the artists, whose real name is Evance Zangazanga.
"This is my second solo album since Maso, which I launched in 2012. I will perform Maloto, Tsoka Liyenda, Moto, Tifatse and three more songs of which two will be released as singles before the two launches," said Piksy.
He added: "This album is telling a story; the first album was mostly about me, in this song I am trying to give out a message that can help someone somewhere, with the same, danceable tunes full of huge messages. I would like to ask people to come and support us and in return enjoy the performances from me and The Langwan Movement Band plus all the other artists that are performing."
Making the list of supporting acts are artists such as Lucius Banda, Zambia's Chimzie Kelly of the Mwanakazi Ndikumbuyo fame, Edgar ndi Davis, Gwamba, Dan Lu, Blakjak, Maskal, Dare Devils, Young Kay, Barry one and more.
Former Big Brother representative Sipe will be joined by Junior C and DJ Malick aka Mr. 265 as MCs.
Meanwhile, Piksy is selling his songs online through www.malawimusic.com. Although it has proved a success, the artists is yet to decide whether to sell Mthunzi through online.

"I had to try it and so far, it has worked really well though it is kind of slow because people are used to free download. However, I'm not sure if I will sell the new album online. I have to sit down with my team and see if we can do that and also to find a lot from people who have been selling albums on the site," he said.
