The world's largest digital archive of African poetry www.badilishapoetry.com can now be easily accessed on any mobile device. This new move enables more people on the African continent – and beyond – to hear the voices of Badilisha wherever they are.

To celebrate we are starting a conversation on Twitter and Facebook, and we invite you to join in. Together we will look at some of the issues around African identity, equality and accessibility to African poetry and career opportunities.

Let's talk:

1. Follow us @BadilishaPoetry on Twitter and like us on Facebook: Badilisha Poetry X-Change.

2. Join us on @BadilishaPoetry from 20h00 – 21h00 SAST on Thursday, 23rd and 30th October to discuss the topic/theme for the week.

This discussion will end with a Micropoetry tweet up (A micropoem is a short poem that can follow any format. The brevity of a micropoem is determined by the platform it is published on. The 140-character limit on twitter, forces us to choose carefully and write tightly. Join our micropoetry theme-based challenge using the hashtag #hearAfrica. Find out more about micropoetry on twitter: http://micropoetry.com/twitter-micropoetry)

3. Meet on Facebook on Thursday 6 November from 20h00 – 21h00 SAST for an international poetry mash-up with African poets from across the world. (A poetry mashup is the artful combination of content from different poets to collaboratively create a new piece of work.) Our poetry mashup on facebook will be led by established Badilisha poets, add your voice using the hashtag #HearAfrica as we devise new works together.

We hope you will add to the conversation and invite others to #hearAfrica
