SOMETHING WE AFRICANS GOT is an independent black-owned journal founded in 2017 by Creative Director Anna-Alix KOFFI.
Edited in both English and French, it engages with past and current cultural movements from Africa and the Black worlds through in-depth essays, articles and interviews while highlighting and showcasing the work of established and emerging African and Black artists. From fashion to literature, music to sculpture as well as cinema, theatre, photography and other artforms, each issue discusses a general theme, investigates the art and intellectual scenes of a specific African country and explores cultural links between a non-African country and the African continent.

something we Africans got is a journal about the creations of artists from Africa and its diaspora; non-African stakeholders whose work is related to the continent. The angle is strictly cultural (currents of thought, photography, cinema, contemporary art, fashion, literature …).
In each issue, 1 / focus on an African country, 2 / a special theme and 3 / a part devoted to a country outside of the continent through which we put emphasis on cultural bridges with Africa.
