Thinking Strings Media is a South African production company based in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands. The company was founded in 2011 by filmmaker, Nicole Schafer (MFA, UCT) to support the production of creative documentaries and original content from across the Southern African region.

Thinking Strings Media specialises in content for news and television broadcast and offers services in production, post-production and general videography.

​Production credits include REUTERS Africa Journal, South Africa's leading investigative programme Carte Blanche, Lonely Planet TV's Six Degrees and Sport Traveller broadcast on Discovery Channel.
