The Biram is a traditional musical instrument to which the Boudouma people, who live along the shores of Lake Chad and are threatened with extinction, attribute sacred powers. Malam Maman Barka is the last master holder of the artistic secret that surrounds the Biram, the instrument that makes the waters of the lake dance and attracts fish.
