A graduate of University of Dar es Salaam, Born and raised in Tanga,Tanzania. Hatibu Madudu has over ten years experience in media industry, combining his knowledge of Art in social and community based issues and research, Hatibu Madudu have been involved in media campaigns for Action Aid (Don't sell our future), Julius Nyerere Intellectual International Festival (JNIF) as publicity committee convener under Mwalimu Nyerere Professorial chair in Pan-African studies, Foundation for civil society and Empowerment Enterprise Africa, just to name a few.
Hatibu Madudu is proficient and familiar with Radio, Television and Film Production holding different titles as Content Director, Content producer, Writer and Film Director. He has overseen the conception to production of various projects. Notably, BBC MEDIA ACTION TANZANIA for HABAHABA the program under governance project (Content Producer), Haak Neel Production (T) Ltd for Tanzania National Parks, Radio and Tv Programs (Senior Content Producer), Property and Business Formalization Program under United Republic Of Tanzania President Office, Radio and Tv Programs (Senior Content Producer), Producing 10 Episodes of Tafakari Time. An advocacy program aimed at advocating for education policy in Tanzania based on the challenges and realities of education system on the ground (Senior Content Producer), Producing 25 Minutes and 15 Minutes Documentaries on Reforms of Judiciary of Tanzania, focusing on Infrastructure Development and ICT (Senior Content Producer/ Director). Madudu also took charge in the production of Dume Challenge Season II a reality Tv contest (Content Director), Siku ya Msanii Tanzania a live event to celebrate the International Artist day in Tanzania (Senior Content Producer). Proin Promotion (T) Ltd for Tanzania Movie Talent, reality Tv contest season I & II (Senior Content Producer) and Made in Africa Tv for Minibuzz Tanzania (Senior Producer/ Director).
With his love to the art of film making, Hatibu Madudu for over ten years has been taking different role in Film Making Industry in Tanzania as 1st AD, Cast and Director involving, Shoeshine a short film by Amil Shivji that won viewers' choice award at 2013's Zanzibar International Film Festivals and more than five awards across Africa (Casted as Haruni), Mgongo a short film funded by PSI -Tanzania for public awareness on the proper use of condoms (1st AD), Dar Noir a feature film by Hamadi Mwapachu that won viewer's choice award at 2015's Amakula Film Festivals in Uganda (Ist AD & Casted as Anwar), Mpango Mbaya a film by Karabani Karabani that got official selection on 2015's Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Taking steps through his career development of film making, Hatibu Madudu wrote and direct a short film "Sukari" aims to trigger the conversation on the first three Sustainable Development goals through addressing youth economic hardship and the choices they opt to take out there. The film was officially selected for World Premier at Zanzibar International film Festival (ZIFF2018), then selected at Fespaco 2019 (Ouaga).
