Principal country concerned : Column : Comic strip

Simubara J Damasent (1994), commonly known as 'KABOBO Ka BOSS" was born just like any other boy in the hills of Rwanda. However, unlike most of his age-mates, he did not enjoy the fun of having his parents around him when he was growing up. He was barely six years when they passed away through natural causes. Nevertheless, he has braced himself to overcome the orphanage tag by doing what he knows best : Comedy! His talents dates three years back, the moment he fell in love with the popular Rwandan stand up comedian, Kanyombia. His debut in stand up comedies was in a Gisenyi (a popular Rwandan town near the DRC Border). He did his gig in club where he left patrons in stitches. Kabobo has now featured in his first filmed comedy "Mpemuke Ndemuke" with English subtitles. Directed and edited by Joseph Njata, the story talks about the struggle involved when one chooses impersonation to earn a living.
