Lingikoni is one of Fijis' leading visual artists. He has worked at the University of the South Pacific where he also studied and refined his artform. He was born in Tonga but has lived in Fiji for many years. He was one of the 1st resident artists at the Oceania Center For Arts and Culture. His works are often visual narratives of his cross cultural life experience and journey from Tonga to Fiji, and combine a contemporary vision with broadly Oceania references, from Solomon Island Kapkap design to polynesian motifs and Oceania rock drawing.
