Peter Maepioh is a wood and stone carver from the Western part of Solomon Islands. Born on the 25th April 1951, Peter is one of the longest surviving carver who has represented the country in many international arts and cultural festival. Some of his work have circulated the globe and was even presented to the Duke and Duches of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, when they came for a visit to Solomon Islands in 2013. Peter now runs his own handicraft business called the Kulukulu Handicrafts.
