Born in Batna on 23 December 1989 to an Algerian mother and a Tunisian father, Salah has been in a publishing family for over four decades. He has always been immersed in literature, stories and the art of language. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in literature, he went on to study law.

Later, he turned to the audiovisual field and obtained a degree in cinema at Paris VIII where he learned the theoretical aspect of the cinematographic art. He then continued his studies at ARFIS to acquire a technical cinematographic background in order to improve his skills. In 2018, he obtained a diploma of director from the Eicar Lyon school.

In parallel to his studies, he directed several short films, including some for the Nikon Film Festival such as "Je suis inespérée" and "Je suis Cendrillon de Damas" selected among the 50 finalists. At the end of his studies, he directed the short film "Zizou sur Mars" and continues to direct or supervise as a cinematographer clips, short films. In 2019, he will direct his first French-Algerian feature film.
