Arch. Steven Wandera Oundo graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) Degree and is pursuing a Master in Business Administration Degree from the same University. He is Past Chairman of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) and the newly constituted National Construction Authority.

Prior to election as Chairman in 2009, Arch Oundo served the Architectural Association of Kenya in various capacities for more than a decade including Vice Chairman and a member of the Governing Council and Convenor of the Ethics and Practice Committee. He has also served as Treasurer and 2nd Vice President of the East Africa Institute of Architects (EAIA).
He has also served in a number of international professional organizations including the Africa Union of Architects (AUA) where he currently serves as Treasurer, Commonwealth Association of Architects (Alternate Vice President of Africa – East) and therefore a Council member until 2013 and is also the Senior Vice-Chairman of the Association of Professional Societies in East Africa (APSEA).

A registered architect, Arch. Oundo is a Member of the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS) in Kenya where he heads the Education Board.
Steven is also a practicing architect and a director of Trioscape Planning Services Ltd since 2000.

In that regard, he holds signature to several architectural projects which the firm has been involved in, main one being Cardinal Otunga Plaza at the Holy Family Basilica grounds.
In addition, he is a Member of Interim Technical, Industrial, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TIVET) Steering Committee under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology since 2009. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Branch).

He has served in the CAA Validation Board for the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology in 2010 and 2012.
Arch. Oundo was awarded the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) by H.E. Mwai Kibaki, President (Retired) of the Republic of Kenya for distinguished service to the Nation.
