Thomas Dick has lived for 9 years in Vanuatu and 2 years in Thailand. He works closely with non-government associations in Australia and Vanuatu, supporting the production and development of cultural products, events and projects.

Tom is the producer of Lon Marum, a documentary film exploring the interaction between traditional knowledge and contemporary scientific knowledge on an active volcano in Vanuatu.

He is a PhD student investigating the tensions between tradition, tourism and performance in Melanesia.

Tom currently works with the Research Centre for Tourism, Leisure and Work, at Southern Cross University.

With the support of
