Amos Tabalia is a young Kenyan poet and author. His first poetry collection, Riddles of My Mother was published in 2011. Tabalia is a poet who appreciates African literature and believes that there is need for the young generation to reconnoiter their African roots in order to delineate a modern culture that is distinct to their environment and tradition. His poetry reenacts the days of the past while melding it with the Modern African ethos that is hugely influenced by the cultures of the East and West. His next project is a novel manuscript, which he hopes to publish in the last quarter of 2014.

Tabalia is an active member of various literary forums in Nairobi.

Currently, Tabalia is pursuing his MSC in Civil Engineering. His educational background offers him challenges in his literary works. His passion for literary works makes him an avid reader of both classical and modern literary works.
