Born in Swaziland, Bridget Pickering has produced and directed over 20 documentaries, several television dramas and feature films, including the Academy Award nominated Hotel Rwanda (South African co-producer). She is in development on a TV series based on Romeo and Juliet, U Gugu no Andil, set in South Africa's highly explosive pre-democracy period of 1993.
She is a veteran of the industry who has produced and directed over 20 films in Southern Africa. In 1992, she formed On Land Productions, an independent video and film production company based in her home country Namibia.
