 Heso Kiwi was born in Hougo Village,Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. He did his Primary Education at Kalalo Community School 1975, and then attended Siassi High School 1979. His talent was noticed by the Expressive Arts teacher and was encouraged to pursue studies in the arts. Heso graduated in fine Arts and Graphic Art in 1986 from the National Arts school of Papua New Guinea.His teachers were the highly esteemed Mathias Kauage,Timothy Akis and Jakupa who were all artists in residence at the time as well as Joe Nalo. He then lived and worked in Port Moresby and participated in the annual "Luksave Arts Exhibition" as well as Arts & Crafts shows for more than 15 years. Many of his works are sought by private collectors. His work won the "Peoples Choice Award" at The Garoka Coffee Festival Arts Award 2008. "We are culturally diverse with 700 different languages.I love painting and drawing the diversity as a native of this country. My pen drawing depicts rural lifestyle.The Bilums(string bag)play a major role with women folk from my area - my view especially of our mothers as the real heroes of burden." Heso is an extremely gifted artist and considered to be one of Papua New Guinea's most talented artists with his work much sort after. The essence of unconditional love experienced with Mothers emanates of its own accord. The children continue to live the path of the spiritual evolution with Gratitude.
