Egyptian American filmmaker.

Sharine ATIF (شيرين عاطف) is an Egyptian American film director and actress.
She is known for her short drama JEBEL BANAT - جبل بنات
(2018) awarded at Tribeca 2019 & Africajarc FilmFest (France, 2019).
She stars as main role in STRAWBERRY directed by Manal Saad (2021) and also "If You Find me in Cairo" directed by Randa Ali (short film).

She is living between Cairo and New York and a graduate from CalArts in 2017 with an MFA in film directing. As an independent filmmaker, Sharine experiments with different strategies to learn how best to create change through cinema, by using confrontation, humor, subtlety, tenderness, or aggression, with the aim to empower women.
