Project idea
AG Dok (Germany), APIC (Cameroon) and the Goethe-Institut Kamerun in cooperation with the film festival Ecrans Noirs (Cameroon) will organise a co-production forum for German and African co-producers from 31 May to 4 June 2010 in Yaounde (Cameroon). The forum will give room for exchange and reflection on the possibility of having Germano-African and Inter-African co-productions.

General conditions
- The producer or co-producer must be a citizen, residing and working in Germany or any of the following Sub-Saharan African countries: Gabon, Ghana, Congo Brazzaville, Congo Kinshasa, Nigeria, Togo and Cameroon.
- The candidate must belong to a legally registered professional production company.
- The candidate must show proof of their experience in the production of documentaries.
- The project presented by the candidate must :
 to a greater extent consider Africa and Germany in aspects such as content, themes, screenplay and directing
 be produced in any of the countries mentioned above
 present a convincing/realistic financing plan

Criteria for selection
The neutral joint commission from AG-Dok, APIC and the Goethe-Institut, will submit its views to the organisers, based on the following criteria:
- Originality of topic and quality of the presentation
- Effectiveness in the consideration of cultural diversity and heritage
- Effective involvement of qualified persons (artists and technicians) and the use of technical means available in the country where the production is done
- Realistic link between the budget and type of film, shooting duration and format

Requirements:
Applications files should comprise of:
- The registration form of the project (find included)
- A synopsis of one page maximum
- Directors note of two pages maximum
- Treatment of three pages maximum
- A motivation note for participation of one page maximum
- A one-paged (maximum) filmography* and biography of the director
- A one-paged (maximum) filmography and biography of the producer
- A provisional budget and a financial plan (in Euros)
- A production strategy (max. 1 page)

Procedure
- Note that applications must not reach us later than 21 March 2010 (Extended until: 11 April 2010).
- To submit your project, fill the registration form and send all the required documents, indicated above by email as enclosures to Goethe-Institut Kamerun.
- Incomplete application files will not be accepted.
- The application can include a recent audio-visual aid (DVD, Link) of 10 minutes minimum.
- The registration form must be filled and every required material done in English or French.
- Make sure the application is sent by email as enclosures.
- On every required document and material, do well to write down the name of the candidate, the title of the project and the date you applied.
