The DCMA's esteemed Board Member and Treasurer Mr. Adel Dabo was honored by the French government on 3rd September 2014 at the French Embassy, in Dar es Salaam with "The Order of Arts and Letters".
This award and decoration is bestowed on individuals who have achieved distinction in their work in the Arts and other areas of culture and for their contribution to the dissemination of art, music and literature throughout the world.
The DCMA held a concert to honor this special occasion for Mr. Adel Dabo on 20th December 2014. The concert was attended by a host of dignitaries, Mr. Dabo's wide circle of family and friends and well wishers and supporters of Adel and the work he has done and continues to achieve.
Mr. Dabo, Zanzibar-based musician, started his music performance activities international music career at age 17 in Italy - followed by many other European and African countries -- and to date he is still working in the Music industry mostly, in the East Africa region.
