Lilongwe based musician Ras Hope Kuwede has released a 10- track second album titledumandisangalatsa which among others aims at promoting love among the people and Malawian culture.

In an interview with The Daily Times, Ras Hope said that a lot of bad things and behaviors are happening nowadays because love among the people is fading.

The Area 25 based Rasta cited the high spread of HIV virus as a result of lack of love as many people are engaging into multiple sexual relationships instead of having only one partner and be faithful to that particular one.

"This album tackles various issues including love. Love nowadays is fading among the people and a lot of negative things are happening because people no longer love each other.

For example, many people instead of having one partner, they are engaged into multiple relationships because there is no love and HIV continues to spread that way," said Hope.

Besides love between partners, the dreadlocked artist added that the album also promotes love between relations.

In his song "Ineyo Kusowa M'bale" Ras Hope bemoans misery life people live due to denial by relatives because of poverty saying that many people nowadays have based their love on money.

The album recorded in  Lilongwe, according to Hope, has nine songs done in Chichewa and one in English.

"I want this message to reach out to more people out there and therefore I have recorded nine tracks in Chichewa because it is our mother tongue, "he said.

Hope said that the album is yet to hit the market and airwaves but will be promoted by Phindu Promotions.
