The Ghana Studies Association (GSA; formerly the Ghana Studies Council)
invites applications for its Research Grant Program.

The GSA will award two or more research grants of up to $500 each.
Graduate students, faculty, and researchers affiliated with a university
department or institute in Ghana and resident in Ghana are eligible.
Applications must consist of the following:

(1) completed application form*;
(2) research proposal of approximately 500 words; and
(3) a letter of recommendation (for graduate students, this should be from
your primary advisor).

All documents should be emailed by 1 October 2011.

Applications will be reviewed by the GSA Research Grants Committee and
decisions will be announced by early November. Recipients will be required
to submit a research report which will be published in a future issue of
the GSA Newsletter.
