Following the UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/69/16 establishing a Forum for People of African Descent to serve as a consultation mechanism during the International Decade for People of African Descent and other relevant stakeholders from 2015-2024 (Resolution 68/237), International Gathering for Peace and Human Rights, a conglomerate of Peace and Human Rights organizations will honor the "Apostles of African Descent" in celebration of the decade of the People of African descent, on the 1st of December during the 2015. International Gathering for Peace and Human Rights Barbados, scheduled from the 28th of November to the 11th of December 2015, which will attract many races and indigenous peoples of Africa and Africans in Diaspora.

The purpose of the International Gathering for Peace and Human Rights is to educate the world including Africans and the African Descendants of their unalienable rights as declared by the 1948 UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the need for world peace as societies and nations cannot progress or prosper where there is no peace; and there cannot be a proper peace in a
society where human rights does not exist.

Peace Organizations, Human Rights Organizations, NGOs, Bodies and Unions in and outside Africa are welcomed to Join.
