Focus on the biological dimension of albinism, a hereditary genetic abnormality that affects not only pigmentation but also, and above all, the physical and mental health of those affected. They are victims of discrimination, mutilation and ritual crimes in Africa.
75,000 emphasizes the biological aspect of albinism, which is a genetic and hereditary anomaly that affects not only pigmentation, but also, and above all, the physical and mental conditions of people with albinism. These people are victims of discrimination, mutilation and ritual crimes in Africa.
The film is built on the testimony of people suffering from albinism. Albinos tell about their experiences with mutilation. They are victims of the double punishment; a psychological and physical punishment.
The film is based on the skin of an albino, it pays homage to the victims and plunges us into a world of 3D computer-generated images.
The testimonies of the victims are illustrated by emotional captures, through pauses in time on the violence inflicted on them, all filmed in a nocturnal atmosphere.

Victims of discrimination, mutilation and ritual crimes in certain African countries, albinos testify to their experiences.
At the crossroads of documentary and experimental research, the film takes its source from the skin of an albino, it pays tribute to the victims and plunges us into a world of 3D synthetic images.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
According to a report by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in certain African countries, "a complete albino skeleton can fetch up to 75,000 dollars.'' This phenomenon is due to mistaken beliefs.

The film is constructed around the words of persons suffering from albinism and labouring under a double punishment, at once psychological and physical. Albinos describe their experience faced with mutilation. The film begins with the skin of an albino, paying homage to other bodies, and immerses us in a world of 3D computer imagery.

75 000 $ emphasises the biological aspect of albinism which is a hereditary genetic anomaly that affects skin pigmentation, as well as the physical and moral conditions of albinos, who are discriminated against, mutilated and victims and ritual crime in Africa.

I have chosen to illustrate the victims' words with emotion capture and/or time freezes confronted with violence through 3D in a nocturnal ambience.
