Bernadette is the youngest of the family of a Burkinabe veteran in Madagascar. In 1966, when she was only 7, her father got sick and was repatriated in Burkina Faso together with her brother. By chance she finds their footsteps and decides to follow them... Through Bernadette, it is the Great Story of people displacement in an Africa under colonial domination.
